Description

Delicious baked pretzels stuffed with creamy cheese and savory ham, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Laugenbrezeln (thawed or fresh)
  • 4 slices of ham (turkey ham works beautifully too)
  • 150 grams of grated cheese (Gouda or Emmental recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard (optional)
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (chives or parsley for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (355°F) with the conventional setting.
  2. Slice each Laugenbrezel down the middle lengthwise.
  3. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese on the inside of each pretzel.
  4. Layer each pretzel with a slice of ham.
  5. Sprinkle the grated cheese atop the ham.
  6. Arrange the filled pretzels on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Try different combinations of cheese for unexpected twists! Prepare pretzels in advance and bake when guests arrive for convenience.
