Description

Delightful scones filled with sweet bananas and rich chocolate, perfect for breakfast or a cozy afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine the mashed bananas, chocolate chips, milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface.
  6. Shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
  7. Prepare the baking sheet with parchment paper and place the scones with space in between.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

Keep ingredients cold for a flaky texture. For variations, substitute chocolate chips with nuts or dried fruits.
