Description

Warm, gooey cinnamon rolls infused with ripe bananas and topped with velvety cream cheese icing.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, milk, melted butter, and egg in a large bowl.
  3. Blend the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the banana mixture by folding gently.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick on a floured surface.
  6. Prepare the filling by combining brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle it over the rolled-out dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly from one edge into a log, then slice into even rolls.
  8. Bake the rolls in a greased baking dish for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Prepare the icing by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the icing over warm rolls before serving.
