Description

Black Forest Love Cupcakes are a delightful dessert that combines rich chocolate cake with luscious cherry filling and creamy whipped topping, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
  7. Once cooled, cut a small hole in the center of each cupcake and fill it with cherry pie filling.
  8. Top each cupcake with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
