Description

Ingredients

  • 1 Bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in your skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces, searing them until golden brown and fully cooked—about 5-7 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside, allowing the flavorful juices to rest.
  2. Cook the veggies: In the same pan, add the diced onion and sliced bell peppers. Sauté until softened but still crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Combine the ingredients: Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, ground black pepper, and salt, stirring everything together with your wooden spoon for even distribution.
  4. Simmer to perfection: Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 more minutes, letting the sauce thicken and envelop each piece in flavor. Keep the heat medium to low so that it gently bubbles without sticking to the bottom.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Serve this delightful dish over fluffy rice or alongside steamed vegetables, garnishing it with green onions if desired.
