- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease your bundt pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined; then blend this mixture with the dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
- Toss blueberries with brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Layer dough and blueberry mixture in the bundt pan creating alternating layers.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Allow the monkey bread to cool slightly before removing it and drizzling the glaze on top.
Notes
For best results, prepare the dough the night before for enhanced flavors. Can also be cooked in an air fryer; adjust baking time as needed.
