Description

A delicious and savory Cantonese dish featuring stir-fried noodles with tender beef and a variety of fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed fresh vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the mixed vegetables and cook until tender-crisp.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet.
  7. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, tossing everything together until well combined.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute beef with tofu.
  • Feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand.
  • Adjust the sauce quantities according to your taste preference.
