Description

Delightful heart-shaped cookies filled with a luscious chocolate surprise, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Heart-shaped chocolate candies
  • Heart sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough, roll into balls, and place on the baking sheet.
  8. Press a thumb into the center of each ball to create a well.
  9. Fill each well with a heart-shaped chocolate candy.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  11. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
