Description

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 60 g sugar for the cream cheese filling
  • 1 egg for the filling
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate with the butter using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour in the sugar and mix thoroughly until fully combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition.
  5. Gently fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, the remaining sugar, an egg, and vanilla extract. Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spoon over the cream cheese filling, and dollop the remaining brownie batter on top.
  8. Swirl with a knife or toothpick to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool before lifting them out and cutting into squares.
