Description

Football Scotcheroos are a delicious and fun treat perfect for game day celebrations, combining the classic flavors of chocolate, peanut butter, and crispy rice cereal, shaped like footballs.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • White icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until smooth.
  3. Add crispy rice cereal and mix until well coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased football-shaped mold or onto a baking sheet.
  5. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in a microwave or double boiler.
  6. Spread the melted mixture over the pressed cereal base.
  7. Allow to cool and set, then cut into football shapes.
  8. Use white icing to decorate the footballs with laces.
