Description

Football Whoopie Pies are delicious, soft cookies filled with creamy frosting, perfect for game day celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Green and white icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set. Let cool completely.
  8. In a bowl, mix marshmallow fluff and powdered sugar until smooth to create the filling.
  9. Spread the filling on the flat side of one cookie and top with another cookie to form a sandwich.
  10. Decorate the whoopie pies with green and white icing to resemble footballs.
