Football Whoopie Pies are delicious, soft cookies filled with creamy frosting, perfect for game day celebrations.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Green and white icing for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, mix marshmallow fluff and powdered sugar until smooth to create the filling.
- Spread the filling on the flat side of one cookie and top with another cookie to form a sandwich.
- Decorate the whoopie pies with green and white icing to resemble footballs.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Feel free to customize the icing colors for different teams.
- These can be made a day in advance for convenience.
