Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: green beans or corn
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom of a baking dish, overlapping slightly.
- Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Spread half of the cream of mushroom soup, then half of the shredded cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure potato slices are even and not too thick. Feel free to customize with your favorite vegetables.
