Ingredients
- Chicken thighs or breasts
- Honey
- Soy sauce
- Garlic, freshly minced
- Pasta (elbow macaroni preferred)
- Cheddar cheese
- Milk
- Butter
Instructions
- Prepare and marinate the chicken by mixing equal parts honey and soy sauce with minced garlic. Coat the chicken, cover, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- Sear the chicken in a heated skillet with oil for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and let rest.
- Make the honey sauce by simmering the reserved marinade in the same skillet until slightly thickened.
- Prepare the mac & cheese by melting butter in the pot, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk. Stir in cheese until melted.
- Combine and serve the mac & cheese alongside the honey-glazed chicken, drizzling remaining sauce over the chicken.
