- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Oil for frying (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix together Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken tender first into the beaten eggs, then coat in the Parmesan mixture.
- If baking, place the coated tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through. If frying, cook in oil for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite dip.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider using panko breadcrumbs. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking for the best texture.
