Description

A thrilling combination of bulgogi beef, vibrant veggies, and tangy kimchi layered inside a warm hoagie roll, topped with melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 4 slices provolone or American cheese
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • Optional: minced garlic and sugar for marinade

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef and vegetables thinly against the grain.
  2. Prepare the marinade by combining soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and sugar.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Sauté the vegetables in vegetable oil for about 5 minutes until tender.
  5. Cook the marinated beef in the skillet until browned, about 5 minutes.
  6. Incorporate the chopped kimchi and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Assemble the cheesesteak in toasted hoagie rolls and top with cheese.
  8. Broil for about 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate the beef for at least 1 hour or overnight. Customize with different cheeses or add jalapeños for heat.
