Description

A vibrant and flavorful Mediterranean Steak Bowl featuring marinated steak, fresh vegetables, and creamy tzatziki.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 cucumber (diced)
  • 2 cups cooked grains (brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or dill)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak: Whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the sirloin steak generously with the marinade, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Tzatziki: Mix Greek yogurt with grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Chill while cooking.
  3. Cook the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4–5 minutes on each side until desired doneness is achieved. Let it rest before slicing.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Layer cooked grains in bowls, top with sliced steak, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with tzatziki and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For best results, marinate the steak overnight and prepare tzatziki a day in advance. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
