- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- Food coloring (pink shades)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 2–3 tbsp heavy cream (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy, then gradually add the powdered sugar and heavy cream until desired consistency is reached.
- Divide the frosting into three bowls and tint each with different shades of pink food coloring.
- Using a piping bag, create an ombre effect by layering the different shades of frosting on top of the cupcakes.
Notes
- Ensure the cupcakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
- Adjust the amount of food coloring to achieve your desired shade of pink.
