- 2 packages (14 oz each) Lil’ Smokies sausages
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
- Place the Lil’ Smokies sausages into your slow cooker, spreading them evenly.
- Pour the glaze over the sausages and stir in the pineapple chunks.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm with toothpicks.
Notes
Make the glaze ahead of time and refrigerate it to deepen the flavors. You can use pre-cooked sausages to shorten cooking time. For added spice, increase cayenne or add jalapeños.
