Delicious pasta shells filled with creamy ricotta and nutritious spinach, baked in a rich marinara sauce.

- 12 large pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup spinach, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions; drain and cool.
- Combine the ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, and optional Italian seasoning in a large mixing bowl.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or small scoop.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, open side up.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and add extra mozzarella on top if desired.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can assemble the shells ahead of time and refrigerate them before baking.
