Description

Crispy bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers filled with a creamy cheese mixture that perfectly balance heat and richness, ideal for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 6 slices bacon
  • Fresh chives for garnish
  • Panko breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, tucking the ends underneath.
  6. Place the wrapped jalapeños seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and filling is bubbling.
  8. Broil for an additional 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Garnish with fresh chives and serve warm.

Notes

For milder poppers, use smaller jalapeños or bell peppers. Make ahead and store in the fridge until ready to bake.
