Description

Touchdown Brownies are rich, fudgy brownies topped with a creamy layer of frosting and decorated to resemble a football field, making them the perfect treat for game day celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Green food coloring (for frosting)
  • White icing (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the brownies cool completely before frosting.
  10. Mix green food coloring into the frosting and spread it over the cooled brownies.
  11. Use white icing to create football field lines and decorations on top of the frosting.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • These brownies can be made a day in advance for easier game day preparation.
