Description

A delightful quiche combining wild garlic, tender beef, and sweet leeks, enveloped in a creamy custard and flaky pastry.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g Wild Garlic (fresh)
  • 300 g Beef (minced or cubed)
  • 1 Leek (sliced)
  • 3 Eggs (fresh)
  • 200 ml Cream (heavy)
  • 200 g Cheese (grated, your choice)
  • 1 Package Puff Pastry (store-bought)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan-assisted).
  2. Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add the sliced leeks to the pan and sauté until softened.
  4. Chop the wild garlic roughly and add it to the mixture, allowing it to wilt.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the pastry into the quiche dish and mold it to the shape.
  7. Spoon the beef and leek mixture into the pastry-lined dish.
  8. Pour the egg-cream mixture over the filling.
  9. Sprinkle grated cheese generously on top.
  10. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and set.
  11. Allow the quiche to cool slightly before serving.
