Description

Indulgent baked pretzels filled with layers of turkey ham and melty cheese, perfect for gatherings or a delicious snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Laugenbrezeln
  • 4 Slices of Turkey Ham
  • 150 g Grated Cheese (e.g., Gouda or Emmental)
  • 2 tbsp Cream Cheese
  • 1 tsp Mustard (optional)
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Herbs (e.g., Chives or Parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Start by heating your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the pretzels: Carefully cut each pretzel lengthwise, ensuring you don’t cut all the way through.
  3. Spread cream cheese: Generously spread the cream cheese inside each pretzel.
  4. Layer the turkey ham and cheese: Place a slice of turkey ham in each pretzel pocket, followed by a heap of grated cheese.
  5. Arrange on baking sheet: Lay the stuffed pretzels on your prepared baking sheet, giving them a little room to breathe.
  6. Bake to perfection: Pop the pretzels in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Finish with fresh herbs: Once out of the oven, sprinkle chopped herbs on top while they’re still hot.

Notes

For a vegetarian twist, consider swapping in roasted veggies and switching out the cheese for a creamy vegan option.
