Description

A delightful blackberry pie featuring a buttery crust and a sweet, tart filling bursting with fresh blackberries.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • Topping of choice (double crust, lattice top, or crumble)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix the blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  3. Fill the pie crust with the berry mixture, spreading evenly.
  4. Add small pats of butter on top of the filling.
  5. Top with your chosen crust design and sprinkle sugar if desired.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before serving with ice cream.
