- 300 g Pasta (like Penne or Fusilli)
- 400 g Minced Meat (beef or a mixture)
- 2 Stalks Leek
- 200 g Cream Cheese
- 100 g Grated Cheese (like Gouda or Emmental)
- 1 Small Onion
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 200 ml Cream
- Salt, Pepper
- 1 tbsp Oil
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of the pasta cooking water.
- Chop the onion and garlic, and slice the leeks into thin rings.
- Warm the oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the minced meat. Sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until golden brown and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the sliced leeks and cook until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat and mix in the cream cheese and cream until a smooth sauce forms.
- Mix in the grated cheese, allowing it to melt into the sauce.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fold the cooked pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
