- 150 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 100 g Flour
- Pinch of Salt
- 200 g Cream Cheese
- 60 g Sugar for Cream Cheese Mixture
- 1 Egg for Cream Cheese Mixture
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 180 °C (350 °F) and line your baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate and butter: In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave until glossy and smooth.
- Add sugar: Mix in the sugar, stirring until thoroughly combined.
- Incorporate eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Fold in flour and salt: Gently fold the flour along with a pinch of salt into the chocolate.
- Prepare the cream cheese filling: In another bowl, whip together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Create brownie layers: Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, add the cream cheese mixture, then dollop the remaining brownie batter on top.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely: Let the brownies cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
