- 400 g Canned Chopped Tomatoes
- 200 ml Vegetable Broth
- 100 ml Cream or Plant-Based Alternative
- 1 Small Onion
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 50 g Grated Cheese (optional)
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 tsp Italian Herbs (Basil, Oregano, or Thyme)
- Fresh Basil (optional)
Instructions
- Chop the aromatics: Finely dice the onion and garlic.
- Sauté onions and garlic: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions, cooking until translucent, about 3-5 minutes, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Incorporate tomatoes and broth: Pour in chopped tomatoes and vegetable broth, stirring well to combine.
- Add the pasta: Introduce uncooked pasta directly into the bubbling sauce.
- Cook until al dente: Simmer the pasta in the sauce for about 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in cream and season: Mix in the cream and season generously with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Add cheese (optional): Stir in cheese until melted.
Notes
