- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth, leaving a few lumps for texture.
- Stir in the oats along with honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until everything is delightfully combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, use very ripe bananas. Dough can be frozen for later baking.
