Description

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies made with ripe bananas and oats, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth, leaving a few lumps for texture.
  3. Stir in the oats along with honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until everything is delightfully combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas. Dough can be frozen for later baking.
