Description

A comforting and indulgent French toast casserole that’s perfect for family brunches and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (preferably stale or day-old)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Fresh fruits (for topping)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the bread into cubes and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  5. Let it sit for about 30 minutes or overnight in the fridge.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Top with fresh fruits and powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the casserole the night before and pop it in the oven in the morning for fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness.
