Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 tostada shells
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning

Instructions
- Cook the ground beef: Heat your skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with your spatula, until it’s browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Season it up: Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions and allow the beef to simmer for a minute or two.
- Make crispy tostada shells: If desired, heat oil in your frying pan over medium heat and fry the tostada shells for about 30 seconds on each side until golden.
- Spread the beans: Take each tostada shell and generously spread a layer of warm refried beans on top.
- Layer the beef: Top each bean-coated shell with the seasoned ground beef.
- Add fresh toppings: Continue layering with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a sprinkle of cheese.
- Finish with condiments: Add a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa on top.
- Serve: Serve immediately while they’re fresh and crunchy.
Notes
You can prepare the ground beef in advance and store it in the fridge for up to three days. Customize your tostadas with extra toppings like avocado or jalapeños.
