Description
Mini pretzel burgers combine the savory richness of beef with the delightful crunch of pretzel buns, making them perfect for gatherings or as a fun appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g Rinderhackfleisch (ground beef)
- 100 g Käse (cheese, e.g., Cheddar or Gouda)
- 8 Laugenbrötchen (pretzel buns)
- 1 Zwiebel (onion, diced)
- 1 Ei (egg)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Mustard or ketchup to taste
- Rucola (arugula or other greens for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, diced onions, egg, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form the patties: Divide the mixture into eight equal portions, rolling them into small patties around 2 inches in diameter. Press them lightly to flatten, ensuring even cooking.
- Cook the patties: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. When hot, add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Assemble the burgers: Slice the pretzel buns in half and place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a slice of cheese, letting it melt slightly.
- Add toppings: Garnish with mustard or ketchup, and finish off with arugula for a peppery bite. Place the top bun on, press down gently, and serve.
Notes
Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare the patties the night before and store in the fridge covered tightly. Cook them when ready to serve.
