Description

Delicious oven baked tacos filled with seasoned chicken and topped with melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 can of black beans (optional)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce (optional)
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken and taco seasoning in a mixing bowl.
  3. Warm the tortillas slightly in a pan or microwave.
  4. Fill each tortilla with a mixture of chicken and cheese before rolling tightly, seam-side down.
  5. Arrange the tacos snugly in a baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until crispy and golden.
  8. Serve with black beans, diced tomatoes, chopped lettuce, sour cream, and salsa.

Notes

For a golden topping, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking, watching closely to prevent burning.
