Description

Ingredients

  • 300 g Pasta (e.g., Penne or Fusilli)
  • 400 g Broccoli
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 100 g Cream Cheese
  • 150 ml Vegetable Broth
  • 50 g Grated Cheese (e.g., Parmesan)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil (Olive or Canola)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot with sufficiently salted water. Aim for al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, divide the broccoli into small florets and blanch them in boiling water for about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and add the onion. Sauté until translucent.
  5. Add the chopped garlic and sauté briefly until golden and aromatic.
  6. Pour in the vegetable broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the cream and cream cheese, creating a silky sauce.
  8. Incorporate the blanched broccoli, gently folding it into the sauce.
  9. Season with salt and pepper, then add the cooked pasta, mixing thoroughly.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with grated cheese.

Notes

For a baked version, transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with cheese, and bake until golden brown.
