- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz pasta sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened—about 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart while cooking until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Stir in pasta sauce and Italian seasoning, simmering for about 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked spaghetti, cottage cheese, half of the mozzarella, and meat sauce mixture in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
