Description

A simple yet enchanting dish that combines the rich flavors of garlic and tomatoes with al dente spaghetti for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 250 g Pasta (e.g., Spaghetti)
  • 34 Cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 400 g Cherry Tomatoes or Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Italian Herbs (Oregano, Basil)
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Fresh Basil (Optional)
  • 50 g Grated Cheese (e.g., Parmesan)

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a generous pinch of salt, then toss in your pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Prepare the garlic: While the pasta cooks, peel and finely chop the garlic.
  3. Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Cook the tomatoes: Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Stir occasionally, allowing them to soften and break down, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Season the sauce: Sprinkle in the Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  6. Combine with pasta: Once the pasta is ready, drain it (reserve a small amount of water). Transfer the pasta into the skillet with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Serve and garnish: Plate the pasta and finish with fresh basil and grated cheese. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For a richer flavor, drizzle a little more olive oil over the dish before serving.
